Robot squads for solar farm construction
About Libra Robotics
We build collaborative robot squads for solar farm construction. High labor costs, labor shortages, and unpredictable productivity make infrastructure difficult to build in places that are remote, harsh, or empty. We are building robots to unlock places once considered too difficult to develop. Solar farm is our first proving ground. Unlike solutions that automate only one task, or even part of one, we cover the workflow after PV module pallets arrive on-site: transportation, installation, alignment, and fastening. Each robot has a specific role, and fleets can be configured based on each project’s cost and schedule requirements. Our robots operate autonomously with remote supervision. One person can supervise 4+ robots through a screen and an e-stop button, without being physically present or teleoperating them. Our robotic fleet has also been tested at night, paving the way for 24/7 operation. We work directly with EPCs through a Robotics-as-a-Service model, requiring no robot purchase or large upfront capital investment. We also work with racking and PV module manufacturers to certify compatibility and give customers confidence in deployment. Purpose-built hardware, multimodal sensing, and physical AI software help our robots handle real-world construction uncertainty.
