About Florin
Florin is a full-stack insurance carrier where a model does the underwriting. When a submission comes in, Florin reads the ACORD forms, then investigates the risk on its own: satellite imagery, permits, public records, even the insured's Instagram, and catches exposures that never make it onto the application. It then simulates tens of thousands of ways the policy year could go, prices the risk, and returns a bindable quote in under a minute instead of weeks. The team is ex-Google, Tesla, Amazon, and Terra Firma, and the bet is that a carrier built this way wins on loss ratio, speed, and cost at the same time.
